Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Super PC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly, in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what information we collect when you use superpc.co.za, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with our store, we may collect:
- Contact details — your name, email address, phone number and delivery/billing address.
- Order information — the products you purchase or enquire about, order history, and any notes you give us about a custom build.
- Account and communication data — messages you send us via the contact form, WhatsApp, phone or email, including any details you share to help us assist you.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working properly.
- Payment confirmation data — Payfast provides us with confirmation that a payment was successful; we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV or online banking credentials.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Process and fulfil your orders, including arranging courier delivery and providing order updates.
- Respond to enquiries, quote requests and support questions.
- Build and configure custom PCs to the specification you've requested.
- Send you service-related communications (e.g. order confirmations, shipping notifications).
- With your consent, send you occasional marketing communications about promotions or new products — you may opt out of these at any time.
- Improve our website, products and customer service, and detect or prevent fraud and abuse.
3. Payment Processing
All online payments are processed securely by Payfast, a licensed South African payment gateway. Payfast handles your card or banking details directly on their secure, PCI-DSS compliant platform — Super PC never sees or stores your full card number, expiry date, CVV or online banking login details. Payfast's own privacy policy governs how they handle that payment data.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary to run our business, specifically with:
- Courier partners, to deliver your order to the address you provide.
- Payfast, to process your payment securely.
- Service providers who help us operate the website (such as hosting and email delivery), under obligations to keep your data confidential.
- Where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
5. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — including to comply with tax, accounting and consumer protection laws — after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
6. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Request confirmation of what personal information we hold about you.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
- Object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your information has been mishandled.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
7. Cookies
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working correctly across pages, remember your preferences, and — where you've given consent — measure site performance and advertising effectiveness. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site (like the shopping cart) may not work correctly without them.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and secure hosting — to protect your personal information against loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected.
9. Children's Privacy
Our store is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent version, and continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact Us
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your personal information, please contact us at info@superpc.co.za or 066 438 9029.
